A cats natural foods are small rodents, birds and mammals, which are generally eaten lock stock and barrel.

These are cheap carbohydrates that cause an insulin response in the body of the cat, will lead to weight gain and possibly cat diabetes.
Your goal should be to keep your cat’s food as close to their natural diet as possible. Look for a cat food that has no grains and is low in carbohydrates. Also beware of wet food that has high carbohydrate gravy.
